Vintage 1950's Super Fine Sisal Capeline - 10.5"
Here we have the crème de la crème of capelines. Sisal is one of those chef kiss materials that are not really made anymore due to the sheer time that goes into each and every one of them.
This navy blue capeline was made in the 1950's (possibly even earlier) and has one of the finest weaves we have ever seen. This capeline is sheer perfection; there are a few creases in the capeline, but these will be smoothed out when blocking. The edges are overlocked to keep the brim perfectly rounded, but you can always unpick this if you prefer to shape the brim differently.
Navy Blue - Light Damage: The only damage to this capeline is on the crown; it is a little fuzzy, so will need to be panned/smoothed out.
This capeline would be absolutely stunning as an intricate blocked hat or headpiece.
