Vintage Swiss Laminated Raffia 53cm Wide Mesh Fabric - Open Weave
This open weave pattern raffia fabric is certainly something you can't get your hands on anymore, and is sadly another millinery material likely to not be made again.
Made of shiny laminated raffia threads, it has a lovely gloss to it, famously made in Switzerland. We have seen styles like this produced in the 1940s/50s, but the labelling appears to be more 1980s to us - in any case it's got some age to it!
Fabric measures 47cm wide and is sold by the metre (1.09 yards). Multiple lengths purchased will arrive as one long continuous piece.
