'Katie May' Silk Millinery Flower Hat Mount
This gorgeous 'Katie May' millinery flower mount is stunning! It's made from shaped and wired silk petals that make up one large flower at it's base followed by 2 smaller flowers and wired leaves at the tip. Each flower has a cluster of stamens at the centre and is attached to a short wired stem that is finished in rolled silk. It's large size makes it ideal for trimming hats and for making an instant fascinator!
Flower measures approximately 13cm (5.1 inches) wide and 20cm (7.8 inches) in length.
Top tip! Before using your silk flower try holding it over steam for a short period of time. This will plump up your flower and bring it's shape to life!
TOP TIP
Flower slightly out of shape after storage/shipping? Try waving it over a gently steaming kettle for a few seconds and watch it spring back to life.
