Strobel & Sohne KL72 Vintage Industrial Fur & Leather Sewing Machine + Table + Tons of Spares!

Sometimes on our vintage buying adventures we buy job lots of goodies and get things that we would not normally sell - like sewing machines! 

This is a beauty, though. Kept in meticulously great shape by it's previous German owner, this machine (known as the KL72) was made by Strobel & Sohne in Munich in the 1940s/50s. 

Despite it being known as a fur machine, it was also designed for leather and will sew it's faux equivalents equally well. For milliners it's a great way to sew in leather hat bands to the inside crown of a hat and more than excellent for flat pattern fur styles as it produces a tight whip stitch (overseam) to bind fabrics. 

Tested in Germany, it works fabulously and even comes with a table, wood pedals, an entire spare working engine, belts and bolts. We brought it back to the UK and it simply needs a change over to a UK plug to get it going.

It really is a lovely thing, and because we are moving we are offering it up at a fabulous price. We have seen these sell on the European market for close to £1,000, without all the extras!
