Double Twisted Toyo Paper Capeline Hat Body - 12"
*We are down to our last of these vintage (circa 1990's) capelines. All will have slight defects and foxing in one place or the other, hence the amazing price!*
This double twisted paper capeline is so versatile we adore it! It looks great blocked out into halo crowns and fascinators but works equally well made into a boater or more traditional hat shape. It's open weave makes it perfect for making a large, lightweight statement hat.
Made from twisted toyo paper, it's surprisingly robust and can be stiffened with straw stiffener or a PVA solution.
Capeline measures:
Flat measurement from crown tip to brim: 30cm (12 inches)
Brim width from side crown to brim edge: 12cm (4.7 inches)
*Please note that this is not a finished hat but the 'body' to make one from scratch.*

Cone: This is the perfect size for most fascinators and for blocking out hat crowns.
Flares: This is the size inbetween a cone and a capeline, so good for hats with smaller brims or larger fascinators.
Capelines: This is the largest hat body, great for wide brimmed fitted hats.
